Q: WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT FITNESS GOAL?

My current fitness goal right now is to bench 350 lbs and run a sub 5:30 mile. But honestly my main goal is to just stay consistent, work hard each day and continue to improve.

Q: WHAT KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED?

Continuing to better myself and to look back and see how far I’ve come rather than how far I’ve fallen backwards.

Q: WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR TWENTY-YEAR OLD SELF?

Take more risks, put yourself out there and never stop working for something you want. Some people will try to tell you something is impossible simply because they’re scared to try it.

Q: WHAT IS THE ONE WORKOUT YOU ALWAYS DREAD/LOOK FORWARD TO? WHY?

Leg day because that’s my weakest link. I look forward to it because I want to make
it a strength. I believe in doubling down on a weakness until it becomes a strength.

Q: WHAT LESSONS HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM FITNESS THAT WILL SERVE YOU IN YOUR LIFE?

Without consistency, you’ll never achieve your goal.

Q: WHAT IDEA, PERSON OR BOOK HAS BEEN THE MOST INFLUENTIAL IN YOUR LIFE? WHY?

I can’t really narrow it down to one book or person. I just try to take little bits and
pieces from everyone I encounter and take the things I like that could help me grow and leave the things back that would possibly hold me back.

Q: WITH ANY NEW MODALITY YOU GET INTO, HOW DO YOU APPROACH IT IN ORDER TO MASTER IT?

To master anything, it all comes down to putting in the time and surrounding
yourself with people of similar mindsets and goals. Consistency!

Q: DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE FAILURE? HOW HAS THAT SET YOU UP FOR LATER SUCCESS?

My favorite failure was losing the state finals in wrestling my senior year. At that
time, it seemed like everything to me and I wasn’t sure how I would move on from that. But moving forward I realized I just simply didn’t deserve to win on that day and my opponent was the better man on that day. What that taught me was that you should never assume you’re the best and that you’re working harder than everyone else. Someone is always hungry and trying to take your spot, so continue to work hard and make sure you leave it all out there and submit your best self to the things you want to succeed at.
