10 MINUTES WITH SCOTT

Q: WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR TWENTY-YEAR OLD SELF?

I would tell my 20 year old self that warming up and taking the time to stretch is needed sooner than later.

Q: WHAT LESSONS HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM FITNESS THAT HAVE SERVED YOU THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE?

Consistency is the key. Being consistent with my training, work, and family.

Q: WHAT KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED?

I want to be able to show my son that with hard work and dedication there is nothing that cannot be accomplished.

Q: WHAT’S THE ONE WORKOUT YOU ALWAYS DREAD? WHAT’S THE ONE WORKOUT YOU ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO? WHY?

I dread any workout with an Assault bike because it steals my soul. One I look forward to is a longer high rep workout because I like to set a pace and move.

Q: WITH ANY NEW MODALITY YOU GET INTO, HOW DO YOU APPROACH IT IN ORDER TO MASTER?

I learn by doing so practice it and practice it some more.

Q: WHY DO YOU PRIORITIZE FITNESS IN YOUR LIFE?

I make fitness a priority in my life because It keeps me feeling good mentally and physically. Plus I like to eat A LOT!

Q: WHAT IDEA, PERSON OR BOOK HAS BEEN THE MOST INFLUENTIAL IN YOUR LIFE? WHY?

The idea of never quitting because everyone will struggle with something. It’s how you overcome adversity that can define you.

Q: HOW DO YOU EMBRACE THE “BETTER THAN YESTERDAY” MINDSET IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?

I have long term goals set and everyday I ensure that progress was made to accomplish those goals.
