When working with the former Navy SEALs, Army Rangers and Marine Raiders on our wear-testing team, we examined the pain points of their current pants options to create a product that fills a major hole. While they had pants designed to stand up to harsh conditions, there was not a single pair that was comfortable or sleek enough for all day wear. To create a pant that was tougher than existing durable pants and also more comfortable than the available athletic pants required taking our fabric and feature development — and our testing and evaluation process — to another level.

The Tactical Pant fabric had to be durable enough to stand up to the constant friction and pressure from rucksacks and the variability of the terrain while also being flexible enough to handle any movement and activity. And then we had to ensure it was still comfortable to be worn all day, every day in any environment from hours on the trail to hours on a plane. While a hard dichotomy to navigate, we were able to find just the right balance with a 4-way stretch, canvas fabric that allows for a perfect fit and full range of motion but stands up to the harsh wear and tear of our teams’ physically taxing lifestyles.

THE WEAR TESTING TEAM
To ensure the Tactical Pant would be in a class by itself, we brought together a team of elite operators and athletes who are themselves second to none in all aspects of their lives.
During months of extensive testing and evaluation, this team of former Navy SEALs, Marine Raiders, Army Rangers, Green Berets and members of other elite military units took the Tactical Pants through everything they encountered in their daily lives in the gym, on the range, in the mountains, and around town. Day in and day out this team generally beat the hell out of the Tactical Pant to guarantee the pants, like their Special Operations teams themselves, would be able to rise to the occasion one-hundred percent of the time.
Through this process one thing was evident: the importance of versatile, durable, and functional gear in each and every aspect of these men’s demanding lives. In addition to serving nine years as an active duty Navy SEAL, Greg is a lifelong archery hunter, fly fisherman and backcountry skier. Currently, after completing his time in service, he is the president and co-founder of Little Belt Cattle Company, a veteran owned and operated first generation Montana cattle ranch. Little Belt Cattle Company is dedicated to producing high quality Angus and Wagyu beef using regenerative ranching practices.
MIKE O'DOWD
During Mike’s nine years as a Navy SEAL, he spent extensive amounts of time in combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as a JTAC, Intelligence Analyst, Lead Breacher, Communications Specialist and various other qualifications for his team. Mike is now the founder of Defense Strategies Group, a Special Operations led training and security company.
Alex Fichtler
A nine year Navy SEAL combat veteran, Alex Fichtler served in multiple disciplines throughout the SEAL teams from Machine Gunner, Assaulter, Squad Leader, Lead Sniper, Pointman, Communications Expert, Intel Specialist, Master Training Specialist, and Lead CQB Instructor. Today, he is a Senior Security Operations Manager at Aurora Innovation as well as a Partner at Defense Strategies Group and the Tactical Strength Director at MTNTOUGH Fitness Labs.
Don Tran
Don is a former Marine Raider (US Marine Special Operations) and Water Survival Instructor. He served as an infantryman for four years, and eight years with the Raiders with six deployments to the conflicts in the Middle East and Pacific. Don left active duty in January 2018 and now runs an aquatic fitness and mindset program called Deep End Fitness, is the co-author of "F.R.E.E. Your Mind", and coaches elite athletes to improve their focus, efficient movement, breath control, and mental fortitude.
KAJ LARSEN
Kaj Larsen served five years on active duty as a US Navy SEAL. As a Lieutenant, he led a team of special warfare personnel in covert operations overseas in support of the Global War on Terrorism. He continues his service as a SEAL reserve officer assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command. After leaving active duty, Kaj went on to pursue an illustrious career in filmmaking. His reporting is distinguished by his in-field and in-depth examination around conflict zones, national security, and criminal justice.
